Does anybody have experience/tips how to controle the Miele (DA2818) hood fan speed and lighting with Loxone? The hood has the Miele Con@ctivity function so it can communicate with the cooktop. Communication between the cooktop and hood is established via ZigBee (Con@ctivity 2.0) or WiFi (Con@ctivity 3.0).
Looks incredibly over-engineered tbh. I’d be tempted to leave it connected to the cooker hood and in auto mode. If you want to shut it off for ‘all-off’ purposes perhaps you could switch the supply but who knows what effect that might have on re-establishing a connection with the cooktop – worth asking the question directly to Miele.
It appears Miele did do a Gateaway too – Miele@home XGW3000 gateway – might be worth a look.
Joe.

Joe, we plan to have the gas cooktop (DA2818) which does not have the link with the cooktop. So we’re thinking of having the Surface Touch in the countertop control the lights, music and hood.
Appears this is a much discussed topic and involves using a third party API to communicate with Miele devices so no easy fix.
