BACnet feature on new software version

I was pleased to notice that with the new software on GEN2 servers, it is possible to connect to a BACnet/IP network.

For my current project, I need to connect a MITSUBISHI chiller to the system. Both devices (both the miniserver and the heat pump) seem to implement only BACnet clients.

What else do I need to establish a connection? How can I connect cost-effectively?

Hi

The Loxone Miniserver is actually a BACNet server, BACNet terminology is actually the oposite way round to how most networks are described. All of the end points are servers, and the central controller is the client.

As Loxone is a server, and the Mitsubishi is also likely a server, you will probably require a client to divert the inputs and outputs to the correct locations.

You can see a case study here of a Loxone partner who has done this https://www.ccontrols.com/enews/2021/0721story2.htm
