29 Miniservers in staff accommodation
As part of our Loxone Spotlight series, we visit and showcase interesting projects that use Loxone automation. This time, we travelled to the beautiful Haldensee in Tyrol, where a staff house with 29 Miniservers is being built in the magnificent mountain panorama.
Hotel Tyrol is constructing a standalone building for its staff with 3 flats and 25 micro-apartments – each equipped and automated with its own Miniserver. As the central brain for each residential unit, it controls the intelligent lighting, smart blinds and many other smart functions. The Loxone Touch switch in the bathroom is fully integrated into the Miniserver: the switch records and communicates the temperature and humidity levels of the room and, based on this data, intelligent automation controls the ventilation system to prevent mould.
In addition, the heating is also integrated into the Loxone home and building automation system via the Miniserver for intelligent energy management. The power consumption of each unit is monitored individually. An external switch was also installed in the bathroom to activate the towel radiator for 30 minutes when pressed. This allows energy to be used in a straightforward and targeted manner through intelligent automation.
