New: Apple AirPlay 2 support for the Loxone Audioserver
Loxone installations have become more and more feature-rich over the last 10 years – with each software update that we develop. As of today, a free software update for the Audioserver 2.5.01.11 is available – sticking to that commitment of enhancing the functionality. With this update, the Audioserver now supports one of the most popular features: Apple AirPlay 2. With AirPlay technology, you can play music from your iPhone, iPad or Mac in the various Audio Player zones of the Audioserver. With just a tap
With just a tap, you can stream your favourite music via Apple AirPlay 2 to the Audio Player zones of your Loxone Audioserver.

With AirPlay 2, you can play music in different rooms at the same time and adjust the volume individually.

Thanks to AirPlay technology, the audio output of video content is perfectly synchronised via the Loxone Audioserver.
You’ll have received a notification this morning to install the update. If you have automatic updates selected, then this update will install after 24 hours, unless you acknowledge the notification to install it now. If you don’t have this enabled, then you can simply initiate a manual update via the web interface. To do this, enter the IP address of the Audioserver in a web browser and select the corresponding update in the popup window. If you are not a Loxone Partner, and you are not familiar with doing such updates, please speak to your installer for assistance.
Tip: Enable automatic updates on your Audioserver to always have the latest software installed. This saves you time and makes sure your customers’ project is always up-to-date.
