Explained: Miniserver architecture at the Loxone Campus
The Loxone Campus in Kollerschlag, Austria is the most intelligent automated building in Europe. It includes an office, warehouse, hotel, spa & wellness area, restaurant and an auditorium – which all comes together under one roof. It impressively demonstrates what intelligent home and building automation looks like on a large scale.
But how is the Loxone Campus structured in terms of its Miniserver architecture? Essentially many different Miniservers are used in many different sub-areas – with each Miniserver being in charge of dealing with that specific sub-area’s requirements and tasks. In this video, Thomas Moser, one of Loxone’s founders, and Sebastian Stöger, from the Campus heroes team, take you on a Campus tour to explain how the different areas of the building are structured in terms of their Miniservers and how these Miniservers work together in a network.
