This system should not only save time, but also support flexible arrival times without reception staff having to actively intervene or be present. In addition, it was important to achieve optimal energy efficiency in all areas. For example, only booked rooms are automatically brought to a comfortable temperature, while automatic shading systems in all hotel areas help prevent overheating. Another goal was to develop an intuitive and secure access management system that includes personalized access via mobile technologies (e.g. personal access codes via email) as well as physical key chains.

" ["solution"]=> string(2754) "Our solution for the Hotel Nils am See is characterized by an innovative, fully automatic check-in system that is directly connected to the hotel's booking system thanks to the open Loxone system. This allows guests to enter their rooms using personal access codes stored securely in Apple or Google Wallet or using specially designed key bracelets.

We have developed a machine for issuing the key bracelets, where guests receive a coded bracelet in the hotel design by entering their room code via an NFC Code Touch - without any intervention from staff. These bracelets not only look attractive, the NFC technology inside enables guests to receive personalized and time-limited access rights to all areas (rooms, garage, sauna).

The hotel, which has won architecture awards, not only impresses visually with many details, the view over Lake Neusiedl from the roof terrace is also worth seeing. This also offers space for a PV system. Thanks to the intelligent energy management, the energy produced as well as all energy flows, consumers and faults are visible in the Loxone App. This means that the building technicians always have a good overview of all processes in the system. The automatic room temperature control before arrival, the automated shading system and the presence-controlled lighting further optimize energy efficiency.

The general lounge area and the restaurant area offer a relaxed, feel-good atmosphere, which is significantly supported by the intelligent lighting control with Loxone and DALI and pleasant background music from Quadral speakers. The lighting, music and shading adapt to the respective conditions without the staff having to intervene or the guests noticing.
By automating many conventional processes, the staff can concentrate on essential service tasks for the guest.

Our specially developed iPad app in hotel design - which was extremely important to the operator - simplifies the control of all room functions, such as light, heating, cooling and offers service functions such as "do not disturb", "clean room", sleep mode, guest information and weather forecasts. The app also enables VoIP telephony with the reception and room service, which means that a conventional room telephone can be saved. Another function allows housekeeping to activate cleaning mode when entering a room. The app display changes for the staff so that the room's cleanliness status can be transmitted directly to the booking software.

Dynamic access authorizations for wellness areas and other rooms, which are assigned based on guests' bookings, ensure flexible but secure use of the hotel facilities and only within the booked times.

Loxone's widely recognized strengths in the areas of automation, access, monitoring, energy management, lighting control and multi-room audio, as well as Loxone's open APIs, made it possible to realize a project of this scope.
