Loxone Standards &
Recommendations
To help guide users to an enhanced lifestyle, Loxone’s standards & recommendations for smarter living can be adapted into homes, apartments, hotels and commercial buildings. All in an effort to make usability as efficient as possible while increasing the level of all-around comfort, security and energy efficiency. With the experience of more than 200,000 Loxone projects, these standards and recommendations are tried and trusted the world over.
Presence
detection
Is the room occupied? This is a key influence on the behaviour of the room’s components. Lighting, heating, security and more – we recommend at least one Motion Sensor in each room.
Simplest
control
With Loxone, everything works automatically as it should. For general daily interaction, we recommend one control element in each room to manually adjust the lighting, shading or music if needed.
Temperature &
Air Quality
Room climate is regulated without needing a smart thermostat. A simple Touch switch, with built-in temperature and humidity sensor, is crucial for maintaining a level of comfort.
Intelligent ventilation
The air that surrounds you affects your well-being. This is why ventilation control monitors the room and automatically supplies fresh air when needed.
Detecting open
doors & windows
Depending on the status of doors and windows – monitored by Door & Window Contacts – the building will be able to better automate the likes of heating, shading and security.
Loxone
App
The powerful Loxone App offers instant control at your fingertips. Whether it’s a central tablet in the building or on a mobile phone. Push notifications can alert users to potential danger and other occurrences.
Single-tap
Just a tap on the large central area will switch the lighting mood. A tap on the top or bottom left corner will raise or lower blinds, respectively. The same goes for control of music on the right hand side corners to adjust the volume.
Double-tap
When you’re leaving a room, a double-tap in the center is all you need to shut off the lights and connected devices in the room. If you double-tap the top right corner for music, it will change the music source. To switch off music again, you can double-tap the bottom right corner.
Triple-tap
A triple-tap activates ‘All Out’ Mode. This means the entire building will go into a sleep mode by switching all lights off, disconnecting standby devices and arming the burglar alarm. If this is done on a bedside switch, it activates ‘Night’ Mode.
