the new Loxone Actuator
Almost ten years ago, we revolutionized the heating industry with our actuator. Until then, concepts such as individual room control were a marginal phenomenon, and we were ridiculed by many heating manufacturers for implementing them. Today, this is exactly what is standard in smart buildings.
Based on our many years of experience in intelligent HVAC control and in view of changing requirements, we have completely rethought our actuator, optimizing it for 30% lower power consumption and 114% increased power output. Three points were particularly important to us during development: durability, power and that the actuator operates silently.
More than 500,000 closures: Reliable for many building lifetimes
Let’s assume that a building is heated 300 days a year. With 10 closures of the actuator per heating day, this would mean 3,000 closures per year, or 75,000 closures over 25 years. However, we did not stop there when developing our new actuator: our new actuator handles more than 500,000 closures without any problems.
Up to 150 newtons of concentrated power: more power, new possibilities
Especially in commercial buildings, a lot of force is sometimes required to reliably close larger valves. Thanks to its innovative design, our new actuator easily meets these requirements with 150 newtons in permanent power supply mode and 100 newtons in battery mode. The new actuator is more than twice as powerful as its predecessor, which had a pressing force of 70 newtons.

Silent comfort for living spaces
Despite all the power that our new actuator delivers, it operates almost silently. Thanks to intelligent motor control, the operating noises are so quiet that they are barely perceptible – quieter than the flow noise of a radiator. This feature makes the actuator particularly suitable for living spaces where quiet and comfort are a high priority.

Touch Pure Flex
Even better user experience thanks to backlighting
The new “Touch Pure Flex Controller” function module can be used to adjust the backlighting depending on the room type and daylight. This ensures the right brightness at any time of day or night.
For people who are particularly sensitive to light at night, there is an optional “Light by touch” function. The first click activates the lighting and the second the desired action. For everyone else, we have defined selectable standards for living rooms, passageways and bedrooms.
As with its predecessor, we have made sure that standby consumption is kept to a minimum. We have also improved the accuracy of the temperature measurement. Speaking of predecessors: the new Touch Pure Flex comes in the same design and therefore fits into existing frames.
