Hidden technology: See our TV lift in action

Where did you mount your TV? Standing on a cabinet? Hanging on the wall? Did you ever think of having your TV behind a wall or an artwork? We just did that in our new offices and here’s the result:

You can bet the whole thing is fully Loxone controlled, integrated into different scenes and controllable by our apps. So here’s what we did:

Our TV lift controlled by Loxone

When you turn on the TV with the regular TV remote, the Loxone Miniserver activates the TV scene:

• dim the lights to the TV scene,
• turn off the music,
• turn on the A/V receiver
• and most important: the TV comes out from behind the artwork and is already switched on

In order to realize it we bought a Sliding Panel System and connected it to Loxone. The TV-lift has been integrated with Infrared-Technology through our Loxone IR control air.
That way we are able to control the TV lift via our smartphone or for example via our Loxone Touch.

The IR Control Air will also allow you to use any common TV remote (like the remote that comes with your TV or a Logitech harmony device). With it you can take full control of any infrared devices in your home. So we’ve placed a IR Control Air behind the TV. As it talks to the Miniserver with our Air Technology, no wiring necessary.
