A beautiful smart church - controlled by a Loxone Miniserver

One lighting mode for each occasion

For many, a church is a holy place where many important ceremonies take place; The Sunday mass, weddings, christenings, confessions, and much more. In this church, there’s the perfect lighting mood for each of these occasions. When the ceremony changes, just one tap of a push button or a tap via Loxone Smart Home App can change the feel of the whole environment.

Temperature & humidity control

The whole church is monitored regarding temperature and humidity. This way it’s possible to control the room temperature and offer the perfect warmth during a ceremony. Additionally, it’s necessary to protect the sculptures and books from high humidity levels that would degrade and damage these articles over time. The flow temperature of the heating is completely controlled via a Loxone Miniserver and electronic damper. During the winter the temperature of the church is kept at a minimum of 57°. Not too warm to sit with a winter jacket on, but also not too cold to turn on the additional seat heating.

The temperature control also helps to manage the humidity and to avoid humidity levels of more than 70%. Should there be any problem, the heating would adjust accordingly.

Safe place

Unfortunately, churches are sometimes the targets of theft. Due to this constant threat, this church is protected via the Loxone Smart Home system. In case of burglary, the lighting in the church begins to flash and a loud audio signal begins to wail, causing the intruder to flee. The overseer of the church will be notified immediately via a call on his phone and push notification.
