The Alpenrose – Automated Boutique Hotel

When it comes to hotel conversions, ensuring the space runs reliably and efficiently is most important. For this reason The Alpenrose collaborated with Loxone over the course of 8 weeks to create one of the most modern hotels in the region. From lighting to heating, multiroom audio and more, this space has easily become an automated haven for guests and employees alike.

The Alpenrose is nested in an idyllic, medieval region of Northern Italy, often sought after for a relaxing escape.

According to the Loxone Partner, Helmut Krapf, Loxone was used on the project specifically because of how well it automatically takes care of the hotel owners many tasks. The whole place can be brought to life with just a single tap on a Touch Pure switch – the perfect lighting mood, music and more can be switched on or off as needed. A step further, there are also pre-defined Operating Modes such as “Bar Operation” or “Breakfast Mode” which makes operation incredibly simple for all members of staff.

Controlled by Loxone’s intelligent zoned heating system, the rooms are always at the desired temperature whether the room is occupied with guests or vacant. Rooms not in use are kept at a lower temperature to save on energy costs. Music and lighting are also easily controlled, with access for instant changes in the app by employees. Plus, because of Presence Sensors, no one forgets to switch the lights in the spa areas on or off any more. Highlighting the hotel’s exterior, lighting is also controlled by Loxone to create that perfect ambience.
