A premier cigar lounge lights up something new – automation! An unmatched experience is created for like-minded Floridians who enjoy their cigars and drinks together in the newly-automated lounge at Vicente of London in Naples, FL.
Our Loxone Partner Frank Potoczak of Freedom Technologies, as a member of Vicente of London, was inspired to help the business owner transform the bar & lounge. The main selling point of improving the space with Loxone was with Frank’s novelty idea for a cigar locker system – featuring access control with the NFC Code Touch. Then the ideas extended even farther with an all-around solution for remodeling the space to meet various needs for lighting, climate control and more.

Creating a novelty solution for access control
No other cigar lounge is offering exclusive perks to its members like this cigar locker system. With this access control solution; a member simply uses the NFC Code Touch with paired NFC Tag to safely store cigars and belongings.
For the business owner, the Loxone App makes it easier to manage access codes directly and instantly change codes when needed. These possibilities are just as easy remotely too – a huge bonus for a busy business owner on-the-go.
Customized Operating Mode for employees
Accessed only by employees, the customized Operating Mode Business Open/Closed is selected as a Favorite in the Loxone App. By activating either Open/Closed mode, all of the lighting, alarms, audio and more will be adjusted accordingly with just one tap.
The building’s temperature and ventilation status, monitored by the Room Comfort Sensor, is also displayed in the app. If the temperature or humidity level deviates outside its defined range, a push notification will immediately inform designated users.
Since we installed the Loxone System, our opening and closing routine is just one quick easy step. Alarms, lights, televisions, sound system all on or off at the same time. I can also monitor the HVAC and humidor when I’m not there with access to make any needed adjustments along with lighting, TVs and more. I can’t say enough about how Loxone changed our operational procedures, but I highly recommend it.
Special considerations for the lighting solution
Advanced lighting control was extremely important not just for atmospheric benefits, but also for maintaining cigar quality. The LED Strip lighting in the cigar humidor created an impressive display without too much heat to affect the cigars.
In addition, the ambiance extended to the bar area, around all walls and even as an accent to artwork.
