Our central hub for managing, monitoring, and visualizing automation projects is becoming more powerful. From now on, Exosphere allows for easy creation, management, and clear display of databases. This enables automated billing, cross-site logging, or recording of Wallbox charging sessions, for example.

Two new modules: Database Event Connector & Database Session Connector

The databases are created in Exosphere and filled using the configuration modules Database Event Connector and Database Session Connector. Events are occurrences that take place at a single point in time, such as a payment for an item. Sessions are processes with a start and end date, such as charging at a Wallbox.

Use case: Internal company billing

Let’s take an internal billing service as a concrete example: In Exosphere, a “Billing” table is created with customer numbers, items, quantities, and other billing data.

Using personalized NFC cards, employees scan the NFC code to register the items they have taken. The booking is then transferred to the database in Exosphere via the Event Database Connector. There, the data from all locations is centrally managed. Generating reports or sending the data to a third party for invoicing becomes easier than ever.

More powerful improvements for Exosphere

In addition to the new features for creating and managing databases, the latest update brings further optimizations to Exosphere. An improved user interface ensures even more intuitive operation, while stability, performance, and security have been further enhanced. Additionally, new options for displaying and analyzing statistics are now available.

Security that thinks along: Fully integrated and always available. With the integration of Honeywell MB-Secure into Loxone building automation, we provide our Partners with a smart, certified security solution – easily connected, fully integrated, and all in one app.

Thanks to the new Honeywell Security interface, VdS-certified alarm systems can be integrated into a Loxone system. This allows you, as a Partner, to serve even demanding customers in the commercial sector.

The integration is simple and flexible – the MB-Secure is added to Loxone Config via IP address, and with the “Smart Building” license, the connection is immediately ready to go.

By integrating systems, fewer components are needed, as digital interfaces enable direct connections, and central controllers like a Miniserver can control multiple systems simultaneously. Multifunctional devices replace individual components, which saves costs and simplifies installation and maintenance.

End customers benefit from a fully integrated, convenient solution that provides alarm status and notifications directly in the Loxone app. This makes every building secure and smart. In one single system.

The DALI Extension can now control devices via Broadcast. This greatly simplifies the commissioning and replacement of devices with the same function. Instead of addressing each DALI device individually, a Broadcast command is created that applies to all connected devices. For example, if a light needs to be replaced, no re-learning or additional configuration is required.

MQTT is an open network protocol for data transmission. It is primarily used in the world of the “Internet of Things (IoT).” In buildings, it is used, among other things, for monitoring energy flows. The new interface enables communication with third-party providers, for example.

 Key features at a glance:

• Quality of Service (QoS) & Retain: Reliable delivery and optional message storage

Note: An MQTT Broker is required to use this feature.

From now on, the contents of a log file can be automatically sent via email. This simplifies, for example, the billing of your Wallbox with your employer, as they will be automatically informed about the charging sessions on a monthly basis.

Thanks to our new interface with the Gardena smart system, you can now seamlessly integrate irrigation systems, lawn mowers, and more into building automation. This saves time and ensures error-free, automated maintenance of green spaces.
