Lighting

DALI Extension

In the dining area of the restaurant, a wide variety of luminaires and spots perfectly set the scene for the smart restaurant, creating an impressive ambience. Thanks to the DALI Extension, all lighting circuits can be dimmed individually and the brightness can be adjusted to the respective needs.
Thanks to the different operating modes, the lighting automatically adapts to the respective needs. Whether it is preparation, guest or party mode, the Miniserver always automatically provides the appropriate lighting.

Shading

Relay Extension

In the dining room, large glass windows provide an open view of the outside. In a non-automated restaurant, this could lead to the building heating up quickly in the warm summer months. But this is not the case here.
Thanks to the Miniserver, the intelligent system adjusts the shading to the position of the sun and ensures an optimal use of it. So, the managers don’t need to think of it and can fully concentrate on their passion.

Surveillance

Temperature sensors and door contacts

The special gems of the two chefs and the sommelier are stored in the cold rooms of the smart restaurant. Thanks to integrated temperature sensors, the cold storage rooms are precisely regulated to keep a constant temperature so that the food and wine are not damaged. If there is a failure of the refrigeration units, the Miniserver immediately triggers an alarm via push notification so that immediate action can be taken. With integrated door contacts, the opening status is recorded and if the door of a cold storage room is left open for too long, an alarm is also triggered. This prevents the managers from major damage.

Energy and load management

Modbus Extension, Modbus Electricity Meter (3 Phase)

One particular concern of the managers was load management, as the high energy consumption catering equipment exceeds the maximum capacity of the building at full load. With the fully configurable Loxone Config, the free software for configuring a Loxone building, a load management system was implemented that is individually adapted to the building. Depending on the priorities, appliances are switched off in order to reduce the current power consumption and to keep the restaurant running smoothly.

Multiroom sound system

Audioserver

The guests not only enjoy excellent food and drinks, but also the suitable background music is provided. Depending on the operation mode, the Audioserver provides beat-heavy sounds during preparations and soothing background music for guests. But the Audioserver can do even more! Via the individual text-to-speech notifications, a voice notification is automatically output when guest operation starts or the fan level is increased.

A special eye catcher!

The smart technology often keeps a low profile and automates the systems invisibly in the background. The automation is different in the two cold rooms where the wine bottles are stored. These are illuminated by LED strips in the colours blue for white wine and red for red wine. Thanks to the glass walls and the lighting effects, this creates a real eye catcher when entering the restaurant. When the sommelier, Ronny Schreiber, enters the cold rooms to present the fine wines to his guests, the lighting automatically changes to bright, warm white light. After leaving the rooms, the impressive lighting effect is automatically switched on again.
