Smart Home with Fireplace
Fact Check
Challenge
This smart home project combines modern convenience with maximum energy efficiency. The staircase lighting with chaser effect, the integration of a gas fireplace and the recording of the energy consumption of various appliances enable intelligent control.By using the PV system, balcony power plant and wind turbine, consumers are automatically started when there is excess energy. The heat pump only cools in summer when there is surplus energy available and one of the two wall boxes charges specifically with surplus energy.
RGBW lighting in the playroom creates an individual atmosphere. The shading, alarm system, heating and lighting have also been fully integrated into the system.
Solution
With Loxone, we have implemented a smart home system that combines convenience, energy efficiency and automation. The staircase lighting was programmed as a dynamic running light that adapts to the direction of travel. The gas fireplace can be conveniently controlled via app and the changeover valve for the gas cylinders is activated automatically, with push notifications and emails alerting you in good time to a changeover.
Important consumers such as the aquarium, heat pump, workshop and household appliances are continuously monitored and can be started automatically if there is excess energy. This has been optimized by integrating the PV system, a balcony power plant and a wind turbine. The heat pump is also only used for cooling in summer when there is excess energy.
Two wall boxes have been integrated for e-mobility, one of which has excess charging. The RGBW lighting in the playroom creates an individual atmosphere. The system is supplemented by smart control of shading, alarm, heating and lighting - for a fully networked, intelligent home.
I have been working with electrical engineering all my life. I don't know of any system that offers all of the options and interfaces to make a house as intelligent and comfortable as Loxone. And it is becoming more and more powerful thanks to free updates. After more than 100 projects, we no longer have to ask ourselves which system we should use.
