Certificates
Here, you will find more information on which certificates we support here at Loxone, what you have to do to receive them, plus if – and why – we can’t support a certificate.
Certificates supported by Loxone
Certificate of Origin
The Certificate of Origin is a public document that verifies the national origin of a product. For its issuance, an application is necessary.
Here, an application must be made, which includes the payment of an application fee by the applicant – which would be Loxone. Furthermore, the certificate is issued for each shipment individually. The certificate of origin is issued and confirmed by the Chamber of Commerce. Finally, the certificate can be presented by the customer during import.
What do you have to do to receive the certificate?
To obtain this certificate, the customer can contact Loxone directly via email sent to [email protected]. The email needs to include the corresponding order/invoice number. The issuance of the certificate takes about 2 weeks.
A. TR. Certificate – Turkey
The A.TR. certificate is a special agreement between the EU and Turkey, and is similar to the standard Certificate of Origin.
The certificate is used in commercial trade (non-ECSC and agricultural goods) with Turkey. Only goods that are in free circulation in the EU or Turkey and are transported directly from Turkey to an EU member state or vice versa may be certified.

CE – Declaration of Conformity
The CE, or Conformité Européenne, is a certification that verifies products are safe for sale and use regarding health, safety and environmental protection in the European Economic Area. Manufacturers test the products according to certain standards. and place a CE marking on them to indicate the products’ compliance with EU safety rules. This certification can be seen as a “trade passport”, that allows these products to be traded freely within the European Economic Area. The manufacturers are responsible that products are compliant with all regulations and for the appropriate use of CE marking on their products.
All Loxone products have undergone elaborate testing, and carry the CE certification.
Certificates Loxone cannot support
EUR.1 Certificate
The movement certificate EUR.1 is a formal proof of preference and is only required for trade with countries with which the EU has concluded free trade, preferential or cooperation agreements as well as with countries and territories associated with the EU.
Preferential certificates are proof of origin that serve to obtain customs advantages. Only goods that are covered by the respective preferential arrangement and meet the conditions specified therein are eligible for preferential treatment. The use of customs benefits is always voluntary. Companies do not have to fill in a EUR.1 or make a declaration of origin on the invoice.
In many agreements with countries it is agreed that a significant part of raw material & manufacturing costs are incurred in EU countries. Despite the fact that we at Loxone strive to have the majority of the value added in Europe, it is almost impossible to meet these criteria for products with significant electronics content.
This fact, as well as the fact that a considerable bureaucratic effort is necessary to provide this evidence, leads us to the conclusion that we cannot issue a EUR.1 certificate for the movement of goods.
